About Grof Breathwork
Originated by Stanislav Grof, the pioneering psychedelic researcher, and his late wife, Christina Grof, Grof Breathwork utilizes the power of our own breath, paired with specific rhythms of music, to journey deep into other states of consciousness. This practice i uses accelerated breathing, evocative music, somatic awareness, and expressive arts to access the healing potential of these states.
About Grof Breathwork Retreats
In these non-residential retreats, we will gather in the rich field of community for an immersive experience and personal exploration of enhanced states of consciousness, including strategies to prepare for, navigate, and integrate these deep experiences.
No previous experience is necessary. New and experienced breathers/explorers alike can benefit.
How Retreats Work
Enquire and register
Feel free to reach out to Bekah to ask questions about the breathwork and to feel out whether it is the right next step for you. Once you register, you will be sent a medical intake form and can schedule a one-on-one with Bekah to prepare.
Attend: breathe and sit
Each workshop includes two breathwork sessions, each of which last two to three hours. For one, you will be the ‘breather’ who participates and goes on a journey. For the other, you will be a ‘sitter’, who hold space and safety for another person.
integrate
After each breathing session, we invite ‘breathers’ to capture the heart of their experience with words and art, and to share some of that with the group. We also discuss ways of integrating what we’ve seen into our lives as the workshop closes.

ABOUT reBEKAH
I have sat with countless individuals, holding space as they faced and healed their traumas. My training is as a Certified Nurse Midwife, sitting with people as they went through the arduous journey of labor, and supporting them in grief related to fertility and pregnancy loss. Several years ago, I expanded my practice to begin supporting new parents to process traumatic births. Through that work, I developed a method based on Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing, Grof Breathwork and other trauma healing modalities that helps support people through healing all kinds of traumatic wounds. I know that it is possible to heal trauma, be it from difficult births, sexual abuse, fertility grief, pregnancy loss, and more.
In just a few sessions together, you can begin to come through the trauma and re-enter your life feeling whole and confident again.
